VANCOUVER SALMON FISHING CHARTERS

Fishing Report: September 2009

What: Full day and half day private salmon fishing charters in Vancouver.

WHY: Fishing for chinook (king) salmon has been really good all of September. With some good size fish around and warm weather we expect these salmon fishing charters to continue to see solid fishing until at mid October.

PRICE: Starting at $450 for a 5.5 hour half day fishing charter and $825 for a 8 hour full day fishing charter.

MORE INFO: Chinook (king) salmon are returning to the Capilano River in Vancouver. Until we get a bunch of rain these fish will be milling around the river mouth waiting to head up-river. TROUT FLYFISHING TRIPS ON THE BIRKENHEAD RIVER
Fishing Report: September 2009

WHAT: Full day and half day trout flyfishing trips from Whistler, BC.

WHY: The Birkenhead River, located 20 minutes north of Whistler, has the its best fishing in September. The trout following the sockeye in to the river from the lake are feeding heavily on sockeye egg pattern flies.

PRICE: Starting at $245 for a 5 hour half day fishing charter and $345 for a hour full day fishing charter.

MORE INFO: These are all wild fish in the Birkenhead River. They move from Lillooet Lake into the 'Birk' to feed on all the sockeye eggs from spawning salmon. This is a beautiful little river that should be fished if visiting the Whistler area. Click here for more info on this fishing trip...


STEELHEAD FISHING TRIPS ON THE BULKLEY RIVER
Fishing Report: September 2009

WHAT: 7 day and 4 day all-inclusive steelhead fishing packages

WHY: Fall marks the beginning of summer run steelhead fishing in the Bulkley River in northern BC. This year 40,000 steelhead are expected to hit the Bulkley making for epic flyfishing.

PRICE: You won't find a better deal than this. 7 day lodge trips are $4695 and 4 day remote river camp trips are $3300

MORE INFO: The Bulkley River is steelhead heaven and for the next few weeks there will be fresh steelies moving into the system that are willing to take skated dry flies as long as the weather stays warm.
